TACTICAL INFORMATION OUTREACH PROJECT
Serving Those Who Serve In Silence
EST. 2024
Tactical Information Outreach Project (TIO-P) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the veteran and active duty cryptologists in the U.S. Navy’s Tactical Information Operations (TIO) program. We empower our teammates in uniform and after service through comprehensive support, including benevolence, advocacy, community, and legacy initiatives.
At TIO-P, we strive to be the premier advocate and support network for the TIO community. We are committed to building a future where service members, veterans, and their families are empowered to thrive during and after service.
Join us in recognizing and supporting these brave individuals who play a critical role in our nation’s defense.
Our Motto
Our motto, non solum mea, was inspired by the Spartan creed:
This is my shield. I bear it before me into battle,
but it is not mine alone.
It protects my brother on my left. It protects my city.
I will never let my brother out of its shadow,
nor my city out of its shelter.
I will die with my shield before me facing the enemy.
The phrase embodies our core values of accountability, connection, and heritage. We hold the shield to support one another as individuals and the community as a whole.
Whatever each of us earns, whatever we experience as part of the TIO program is ours together.
Be it glory or shame, joy or grief – it is not mine alone.
Our Creed
We the willing,
Led by the determined,
Are doing the impossible
For the unknowing.
We have done so much,
For so long with so little,
That we are now qualified
To do anything with nothing.
The Black Shield
Our shield pays homage to the original
TIO patch, while also acknowledging that we are
a support program for TIO service members –
not the TIO program itself
